The system

Wall frames made to your plans, not off a shelf.

Every Frameform WA wall frame starts with your drawings. Project-specific engineering and detailing can be coordinated as part of the frame package, and we manufacture to the approved project engineering, roll-forming each panel on our own machine in WA. Studs, plates, noggins and bracing are supplied pre-cut, pre-punched for electrical and plumbing, and labelled to match your layout.

Because frames are made locally, supply lines stay short, and if a detail needs adjusting for site conditions, the people who made it are in your time zone. For walls that go further, ask about our aircrete infill option - aerated concrete inside the frame for a wall that's stronger, quieter and fire resistant.

Perth conditions are hard on timber: termites, summer heat and coastal air. Steel doesn't warp, shrink or rot, and steel is not a food source for termites, so walls stay plumb long after handover.

FAQs

Steel frame questions, answered.

Do you only supply steel frames in Perth?

We manufacture in WA and Perth jobs benefit from being closest to our manufacturing line. Delivery is available anywhere in WA - we deliver throughout Western Australia, with delivery scope confirmed with the quote.

I'm an owner-builder. Can I order frames directly?

Yes. Many of our customers are owner-builders. Send your drafted or approved plans and we'll detail the frame package, quote it, and manufacture panels that are supplied labelled and ready to stand. Project-specific engineering can be coordinated as part of the package, with scope confirmed in your quote.

How do the frames arrive on site?

Pre-cut, pre-punched, pre-braced and labelled to your layout. Your carpenter or frame installer stands and fixes the panels - no cutting, no measuring, no skip bin full of offcuts.

Why steel instead of timber in Perth?

Perth is termite country, and our summers are hard on timber. Steel is not a food source for termites, won't warp, twist or shrink in the heat, and is a non-combustible material - useful in bushfire-prone areas, though BAL compliance depends on the complete certified design.

Can the frames be infilled with aircrete?

Yes - that's the Frameform difference. Aircrete (aerated concrete) infill adds acoustic, thermal and fire performance a standard frame doesn't offer. We can price walls with and without it.

Send us your plans, we'll frame the rest.
